1404361 2015-07-08 04:10:00 THIS (www.sunlive.co.nz) shocking waste of time and money? B.M. (505)
1404362 2015-07-08 04:15:00 It kept at least seven people employed when they may well have been unemployed bums?

Okay, I'm out of ideas.

1404363 2015-07-08 04:31:00 This is perfectly acceptable! ....After all,we will need something to remember the Prime Minister by,after he leaves and goes to Hawaii. The leader of the fiscally prudent Government....goes right up there next to the $145k monitor. ruup (1827)
1404364 2015-07-08 06:14:00 I think a lot of people really don't care that much about the flag and it shows in this story. Time they either made a decision or dropped the whole thing, a lot of people will disagree either way and life will go on much the same regardless of what the flag looks like.
Stupid waste of time and money on an issue almost nobody wanted raised, sure we all might have a preference as to our preferred flag but that's not the same as wanting it changed in the first place.

1404365 2015-07-08 07:57:00 An exercise in hypocrisy. Something to distract the chattering masses as the 'Hollow Men' would have said. Terry Porritt (14)
1404366 2015-07-08 19:51:00 I care about it.
But...I can't see why we just can't go online and vote for our choice from all the offerings.
Nice and simple and no need to pay anyone bloated amounts.

1404367 2015-07-08 23:33:00 If we change the flag once, then its opened up be be changed every 3 years, it becomes a political showpony .

The real issue is, there is ZERO chance on there being agreement on the choice of a new flag, So if we change it, there will be so many unhappy
with the choice, that it will be continuously up for debate, argument, protest & changed again in the future

Its just a flag after all .
Keep the flag, please change our awefull national anthem.

1404369 2015-07-09 00:55:00 Frogs and Poms have never been amiable people, frogs still remember the battle of Waterloo defeat.

Theirs' was a good choice, maple syrup is a great item.

We could have a cow or sheep as our emblem.

 Well it would depend who you asked, but given that French is the Mother Tongue of over 7 million Canadians it would come of no surprise if they didn’t want the Union Jack back.

I also note from the selection of flags you provided that the majority of those (with the exception of Canada) who have changed their flag, have been virtually banana republics, which may be an indication of our future. ;)
