Many served under that flag and it meant a lot to them in those times, or are we trying to forget? I don't really care too much about a flag, theres more deserving issues at hand that could have used those resources. Really do believe its wool being pulled over the eyes while something else is going on. Just smoke and mirror tricks. Cheers, KK |

However, what is the slimy little sod up to? You may well be right about TTPA, or selling off Freehold Chunks of this Country to his Overseas Friends, with a KickBack of course. On the other hand, it could be a simple as another Ego Trip where he turns the Country into a Republic and replaces the Queens Head on our Currency with his own Smiling Face. :D |

It's not NZ the way I want it. |

Having now been here for 14 years my view has changed I can see that new Zealanders are proud of their flag and changing it would be seen as dishonourable to fallen heroes and returned services as well as many other people born and bred here. I really don't see why we can't get the Ozzies to change their flag as that would cost us next to nothing, we could even give them JK as a token of goodwill (at least he would finally be doing something useful). |

| 1404387 | 2015-07-10 08:49:00 | I suspect BM is right about the flag issue being the first stage towards a republic, though over in the land of Oz, Keating also used a change of flag issue and republicanism as a diversionary tactic away from economic matters. Anyhow, none of it makes much sense, especially the insistence by Key on the referendum being binding.............yet more hypocrisy. |

I 100% agree with your post except for exporting the PM. |

Thank God that there aren't too many like you all. Read back on some of your older posts and wonder why you bother even getting up in the morning. Life goes on well for most people, and only you sorry lot seem unable to do the same. You just whine at others as though yours is the only correct view. You criticise others but cannot offer any better alternative with a realistic chance of succeeding. All you can do, like those of your ilk on The Standard is whine and make supposed argument by calling people names. Great attitude, great intelligence. Thank God the left will not be governing this country again for a very long time. | Richard (739) | ||
