1404776 2015-08-06 23:32:00 Sounds about right for Alice or any desert location. Should be another article about the 20° drop at night. Whenu (9358)
1404777 2015-08-07 03:39:00 Been doing it for millions of years I'm told. :)

Dinosaurs 500,000,000, Kiwi 30,000,000, gives a rough guesstimate of the years.

Oh my goodness, you’re absolutely right Whenu.

Let me consult my Michael Mann Calculator.

Ahh that’s 40° climate change in just 24 hours and the unnerving thing is it took longer to cool than it did to heat.

Send more money and I’ll look into it further. ;)

Goodness, did they have flatulence like the cows? ;)

Perhaps not ! that's why they were so humongous perhaps.

Still 8,000,000,000 humans would create a lot of gas to, today.

1404781 2015-08-07 06:15:00 Not that it's of any real relevance but it's not flatulence they worry about with cows. Most of the methane gas they produce comes from burping or whatever the bovine equivalent is. dugimodo (138)

Do you have any idea how ridiculous you sound?

I would have to agree with you 100% there Nick

In fact, with most of BM's reply's to other peoples explanations of their side of the story in this thread, I'm sure I keep hearing Mark Twain shouting something about onlookers telling the difference . . . . . . . .

I've seen this argument more times than I care to think about, and every time it resembles a playground squabble.
My opinion, and thats all it is, but based on history, is that the world is warming. Just as, in time it will cool again, and most likely go into another ice age.
Mann, and any other scientist who say global warming/climate change is happening and is real are quite right in my opinion, but it doesn't make them any rocket scientist because all you have to do is look at long term temperature charts and you can pick the patterns a mile away. Not the short 1000 year ones but the 1B year ones that show real patterns. The long term climate is more predictable than yo mama. :devil any Joe Blo can read it once they have enough data.

The real challenge is for weather forecasters to get it right on a shorter timeline - e.g. a week out - now getting that right would make you a millionaire.

1404785 2015-08-08 01:29:00 Mann, and any other scientist who say global warming/climate change is happening and is real are quite right in my opinion..........

The difficulty you have with that argument Krakka is Mann and company proved the earth was not warming, but withheld their findings from peer review and fudged the figures to prove what they wanted. The hacked/leaked E-Mail containing "The fact is that we can't account for the lack of warming at the moment and it is a travesty that we can't." was a bit of a giveaway.

Then of course NASA was asked for an opinion and they came up with yes there had been some warming, 0.777°C in 130 years. Hardly earth shattering stuff.

But at the end of the day I don’t care what other people believe, or which god they worship, as long as they don’t include me.

My real beef is the useless Government wasting $100M of taxpayers’ money trying to stop cows belching or farting.

What do they hope to do, fit catalytic converters to each cow?

I’ll tell you, there will be the biggest outbreak of bovine spongiform encephalopathy ever recorded if they try that. ;)
