| 1404766 | 2015-08-05 04:15:00 | BS alert, BS alert  It was 'heat index', not actual temp . Why is that not often mentioned in media reports ? 73C actual temp would kill everyone outside or not in airconditioned buildings The Amazon jungle is/was supposedly one of the biggest producers of methane on the planet . Best we chop it all down ASAP & keep our nice moo cows Hilarious, simply hilarious, 73°C indeed. And the report was brought to my attention by a Pagan Green Alarmist as proof of Global Warming. :groan: Oh dear. |

Like your images of steam vents on coal stations as proof that there is no such thing? Both of them are bullsh*t, yet you keep pushing one? You're pathetic. |

| 1404768 | 2015-08-05 07:57:00 | www.nature.com Evidence points to an unfrozen perhaps balmy Archean Earth We currently inhabit an icehouse world. An interesting read pctek but at best it comes down to various "Best Guesses" by a variety of people who are talking 3 & 4 Billion years ago. Near-Term calculations are <1 Million years ago, which are still a Best Guess on the information available and if the assumptions derived are correct. However, given they cant even make up their minds what happened in Biblical Times, (say 4000 years) ago one could be forgiven for wondering how they can be so sure about what happened Billions of years ago. Of course all the various religions know it is they who are right, just like our Pagan Green Alarmists. ;) |

| 1404770 | 2015-08-05 19:55:00 | BM, as noted, the atmosphere temperature didn't rise as the excess energy was absorbed by the oceans, comprende? Yes Whenu I do comprehend that and nothing has changed because the temperature of the Atmosphere and Oceans has been rising and falling and offsetting each other one way or other for Millions of years. What I do need explained though is why our Government deems it necessary to waste $100M of our money, trying to stop Cows farting, in order to fix a non-existent problem, which in turn is supposed to fix yet another problem we dont have. I look forward to an explanation. :) |

| 1404771 | 2015-08-06 04:38:00 | More shattering news from Alice Springs today where they had a (three dog night) frost this morning and the temperature is expected to rise 20°C in just 8 hours. Talk about Climate Change, ring the alarm bells. 6651 |

That's like claiming air travel is utterly unsafe because of a single plane crash. It's utter, complete, rubbish. Also, considering even you accept that there is climate change (you just disagree we have anything to do with it) - why are you still trying to prove that it isn't there? Climate change is a fact, it's not something you can have differing opinions about. Climate change exists. Deal with it, grow up. How great our contribution to climate change is is not a fact (although the vast majority of scientists would say substantial). What we should do about it is certainly not a face. But whether climate change exists or not is total, pure, 100% fact - and no amount of arrogance, sarcasm, cherry picking isolated events, and refusing to accept points will change that. |

| 1404773 | 2015-08-06 09:44:00 | What a long thread. Was there any mention that heat can also evaporate the water... or is that how shallow global warming goes, just the tip of the ice berg. KK |

| 1404775 | 2015-08-06 22:21:00 | What a long thread. Was there any mention that heat can also evaporate the water.. yep, and that water in the atmosphere then traps in the heat ,adding to any global warming, if warming is true water vapor/steam is a greenhouse gas . |
