According to the article: some people paid a set monthly rate for their power bill all year round so the lower cost in summer would be made up for in winter. With bills up to $600 a month this year, some people were just not coping, even with the all-year-round set rate. SERIOUSLY ?? If they are paying around $600 a month on a set fee they need to change power companies. We are with Genisis, ours is set, we pay $225 / Month. We have computers (several) running 24/7 as well as electric heaters sometimes in the workshop when its colder, my son has an oil heater in his room in the evening when hes in there, which is most of the time, a Wood burner in the lounge. Standard water heating, most of the time just about every light is on in the place :rolleyes:, electric oven -- and even in the worst/coldest weather the monthly reading has only gone to roughly $250-275. In the summer the reading usually drops to about $200 / month. At the bottom of every statement it says" this is a statement only - no further action is required" ( words to that effect) So what the hell are they doing ? |

You take your socialist agenda and F-off F-off? perhaps you would like to reconsider turning your back on all who are not your friends/family /friends of family/ friends of friend's /help-on-a-whim-folk and realise we are all in the same boat, all on the same planet in the same universe. universal goodwill to all those who have not personally acted against you and your family etc seems not much to ask of all. antiquated labels used as propaganda for generations aren't very useful. have a great day. |

I was annoyed that you took it upon yourself to change my post. I consider that censorship and it boils my blood. I apologise for my crassness. However my point stands All my cash is needed else where as is my time. I don't care, call me jaded or cynical it doesn't matter. Charity does not help people, they need to stand (or fall) on their own merits or you create a cycle of dependency. |
