| 1412089 | 2015-11-27 21:57:00 | Hi Guys, Helping out a neighbor who has just come through a serious illness. Before I go over and perhaps stuff it completely, any suggestions on what he could do? He sent me this : "Hi Arnold I am getting better every day but I have a problem with computer. I cant remember my details and need an answer to a problem please. When I sign in to computer it tells me I am not using the correct credentials, so I restart and every thing goes smoothly. I wonder could you please ask the question o PC world i just am at odds Thank You Gary" He recently upgraded to w10 and all has been going well to now. Cheers |

| 1412090 | 2015-11-27 22:15:00 | If hes using a email address to sign into Windows, it has to be the same as what was entered. What you can do is once in the PC, change the account over to a Local account. It "Should" change over but sometimes with Windows 10 it doesn't do what its meant to do. :waughh: If he cant sign in due to wrong details then you need to log into the account online, at something like outlook.com and work through the process to change/recover the password. To change the type of account, Quickest way -- On the search type Account, open "manage your account, then the option to change is there. The only disadvantage is when ever signing into MS services you need to switch back, or resign in. You'll need to enter some details but its usually simple to follow.
