| 1411987 | 2015-11-26 19:21:00 | I was trying download the latest Win10 with Windows Media Creation Tool, but only to greet with the error 0xA0019. It also corrupts my USB drive and made it unusable; now my Win8.1 could not recognise the drive. Windows is unable to complete the formatting. I then used Diskpart command, hoping to clean it and it now only recovers 64 MB. It is originally 8GB disk. How do I recover my USB drive, or I need to buy a new one? What a mess MS is creating! |

| 1411988 | 2015-11-26 20:06:00 | looking, the error seems to be happening a lot, but no real answer except disconnect all other USB devices ( except KB & mouse of course) Try downloading the ISO then use Rufus to create the Bootable USB drive. NOT directly from the Media Creation Tool. Bit odd that diskpart wont work, but not completely uncommon either. Suggest you use some third party Partitioning software, something like AOMEI Partition Assistant theres a free version and you can make a bootable CD, boot from that, this by-passes windows, with the USB drive attached locate it in the list, right click it, delete its partition(s), create new and format. BE CAREFUL - When wiping drives with a bootable CD you can wipe your whole OS, or other drives if your not concentrating fully -- Really stuff's your day if you do that :) |
