| 1411571 | 2015-11-18 18:41:00 | My desktop has an Acer m/b M5-A78LM. Running Win10 Pro. GPU AMD FX4100. CPU 550w. 8GB RAM. Lately when I turn the PC on, it hangs for a long-time (at least 5 minutes) before it boots, nothing shows on the monitor before it boots. Red light at the front of the PC flashes as though it is working but no action. If I press the reset button the PC then boots and I get a booting screen on the monitor and all is well from then on. What I want to know is the reason that this might occur. |

| 1411572 | 2015-11-18 18:57:00 | If it hangs on the post screen this can be a sign of a failing hdd. It's finding it hard to read it I would also check that the hdd is the bootdisk in the BIOS. If it isnt, it can take longer to boot into windows I found that if the dvd was the bootdisk on this, it would add an extra 30 secs to boot into windows |
