2007-02-27 13:58:00 | My scanner is seldom used so doesn't have a permanent place by my computer and ends up in the spare bedroom. When it's needed and I reconnect it to the computer it gives me endless trouble until I finally remember that I need to turn off the computer, attach the scanner USB plug, plug in the scanner power and switch it on. Then when I start the computer Windows XP does it's magic and the scanner is recognised and is ready for use! :o Hopefully, the next time I reconnect the scanner and it wont get recognised by my computer, all I'll have to do is search PressF1 and I'll find these instructions.

2007-02-27 14:42:00 | Have you set your camera properly? Some cameras have more than one mode. One which acts as a camera/scanner and the other where it acts just like a normal hard drive and does not look like a camera at all. I know my camera has two modes of operation and depending on what I want to do depends on what mode I put it in

2007-02-27 18:44:00 | Scanners generally want a driver. Try uninstalling it and reinstalling it. As for the camera, change the batteries, mine will sit there like a dead thing if the batteries are really flat.

2007-02-27 18:54:00 | Camera batteries are ok. My pc detects camera and scanner then displays this msg straightway the computer cannot detect a scanner or camera" . My scanner previously never requires a driver. | polo (6383) | |
2007-02-27 21:01:00 | Sounds like its playing peek-a-boo Try reinstalling the USB ports in the device manager, first uninstall them and reboot your computer. Swap the plugs around, try a new cable...
