| 527979 | 2007-02-25 05:46:00 | Three questions. I) is it possible to get rid of MSN Explorer at all without causing problems? There's nothing in "add/remove" or anywhere else to uninstall it. 2) is it possible to get rid of MSN Messenger without causing problems? 3) Are there any issues in uninstalling IE7 and installing an earlier version or another browser other than Firefox? I never use MSN Explorer or Messenger and the less programmes/browsers I have installed from Microsoft the better I would feel. Tried to get some help with a problem (one of their making) with this crowd of plonkers and after navigating their maze of non-assistance avenues eventually gave up. Anyone ever got any real assistance from Microsoft? I often wonder if they ever read the comments about their so called service on the various forums-I some how doubt it. Yeah I know what you are all going to say but till Lotto comes up in my favour I'm stuck with what I have. Regards Gordon. |

Yup and yup. Its under add/remove programs / add/remove windows components. 2) is it possible to get rid of MSN Messenger without causing problems? Yup its in add/remove programs, and its not part of XP, u can even uninstall Windows messenger if u want. 3) Are there any issues in uninstalling IE7 and installing an earlier version or another browser other than Firefox? It should revert back to IE 6 if u uninstall IE7. You can install any other browser u want besides IE. Like opera, FF. But u cant remove IE completely, unless u do it from a clean install. |
