| 528039 | 2007-02-26 21:26:00 | Well u dont need Itunes. You can use any program u want, that can transfer whatever to an Ipod. Only reason why I use it is, for updating the firmware, or restoring an Ipod. Since, I've got more than one. And thats the only way you can update an Ipod (the updates were separate, but now you have to use Itunes 7 to see if there are any updates). Otherwise, I wouldn't install it at all. Only thing with Itunes is it needs QT. Which I don't even use. |

I have a little book which serves me well called "The Rough Guide to iPods, iTunes and music online" On page 194 it is suggested that you go to www.ephpod.com and use the Ephpod program to transfer music from iPod to PC (if you have a Mac there are two different alternative programs so let me know and I will post details of these too).
