| 528369 | 2007-02-28 00:15:00 | I downloaded Migrat Easy but twice the download was corrupted, I decided to boot from my XP CD and install it onto the Hard Drive....now my 320GB Hard Drive is showing as 127.99GB!!! How can I utilise the whole drive?? Dont worry, after you service pack the new install, you can use disk management to create another partiton made up from the rest of the hard drive space. 130Gb drive size is XP limitation fixes with sp1 onwards |

| 528370 | 2007-03-01 20:45:00 | After migrating the old ATA C: OS onto the new SATA drive using Partition Magic 7.0 I decided to do a new, clean install as I had too many problems with getting programs to work etc... I partioned up the new SATA drive in DOS and restarted, booting from my XP cd. It went to install and said it didn't recognize the partition which was made as primary NTFS with PM. So I used partition magic again to delete the partition I created and let the XP CD create a new one from scratch but it said the drive was unrecognizable or something!!?? I still have an ATA drive hooked-up in the box but it has no OS and is not set as active. I can't download Seagate's Disc Wizard as they are updating the tool. Is there a good Software site (like drivers.com??which might still be sharing Disc Wizard? |
