528204 2007-02-26 10:02:00 If you just want a device to store your pics, so you can free up your XD card for more photos, have a look at these. I got my dad one a few years back when he went to aussie.

528205 2007-02-26 18:54:00 But if you buy the notebook, use it on holiday and donate it to me on return, you would feel that you had done a good deed.
If the situation was reversed, that is,you have the push bike and I had the MX5 then one would consider that.

528206 2007-02-26 19:10:00 How about just hiring one for the couple of months and then simply returning it. You could get a really flash one too!!! and not have to pay full price!!!:D

528207 2007-02-26 19:45:00 If you have Gorse in your pockets Cicero, can I suggest Tordon or Grazon, either will remove the gorse. Then you could reach the money needed?

528209 2007-02-27 02:01:00 Well, usually hiring is for businesses only but if you talk to IT equipment hiring companies, they should be able to help you out. beeswax34 (63)

528211 2007-02-27 03:21:00 "Leasing" has minimum terms, usually equating to cost of ownership, so buying and selling would have a similar outcome unless Cicero has a company and can claim it as tax deductible..

"Hiring" for overseas use would probably be more expensive that buying, when mandatory insurance was added.

Can I suggest you buy an etch-a-sketch, then just pretend it's a laptop?

Is a good idea, just that my seat on aircraft has provision for laptop and one tends to look silly if found to be just pretending!
One hopes to do a Raif Feinnes, but not holding breath.

But, given your girth, you would have to exhale and hold your breath just to get into that cubicle alone, let alone with an air hostess. Also they do not tend to hire blind hostesses, so your luck may not prevail.
