| 528798 | 2007-02-28 06:30:00 | I have 3 computers at home, 2 run XP home the third 98se, all three IE 6. Each has 2 users (my wife and myself). We have a common dail up ISP account which has our own individual e mail accounts. I want to set up each machine so that who ever is logged on as a user will access their own e mail account. I have succeeded with 2 of the machines, but can' t with the third, a laptop running on XP. Its OK for me but when my wife logs on she accesses my e mail account rather than her own. As far as I can see each machine is set up for email identically. | tutaenui (1724) | ||

OE, rats, haven't used it in years, File > Export > no no... Start again... On the menu, go.. Tools > Accounts > Mail tab > highlight the accounts you want to export and hit the Export button on the right > save somewhere convenient. Repeat for each account you wan to export. Either burn to disk or copy over by network connection. From the PC you have transferred the files to. In OE menu, either... File > Import > choose Account Settings and browse to the files or, Tools > Accounts > Mail tab > Import button > browse to the account files you want to import. I'd go with the latter. Have fun. |

| 528803 | 2007-03-03 05:22:00 | No, that's for backing up mail and news account settings. For emails, use the export button under the File menu > Export > choose Messages. You can do the same for your Address book. Now that's quite enoigh, I want all you people to go and get Thunderbird (www.mozilla.com), Opera or some such. Enough of this OE or O plague thank you very much. ;) |
