| 528806 | 2007-02-28 02:11:00 | Hi everybody, I am having an issue configuring my laptop to provide an internet connection so I can surf from my PSP. It all seems forign to me and I have tried finding guides online but they didn't give much sucess. I am using XP pro if thats any help. Cheers, John |

| 528808 | 2007-02-28 03:34:00 | I am using a woosh pcmcia modem which shows up as a dialup connection and i want to use the internal pci (could be pci-e) wifi adaptor in my laptop. Hope that answers your question. |

| 528809 | 2007-02-28 04:10:00 | I dont think Woosh let u connect more than 1 device, or person to its service. And if you've only got a laptop it wont have PCI or PCI-E on it. Only desktops would have either of these. I would check and see whatever this WIFI is onboard the laptop, whether it can also act as an access point. You may need this, so the PSP can go thru it. |

| 528811 | 2007-02-28 23:05:00 | I finally managed to connect my psp to the university of canterbury network which is great but it still won't connect with my laptop. My wireless adaptor is an Intel Pro/Wireless 3945ABG and i do believe it can connect ad-hoc. Could it be an issue with my woosh connection and the drivers/software that handles the connection? | johnh (11935) | ||
| 528812 | 2007-02-28 23:57:00 | I think you'll have to configure your laptop's WiFi adapter for ad-hoc networking (I'm assuming the PSP will be OK with this), then turn on Internet Connection Sharing on the laptop (for the Woosh adapter). That turns your laptop into a DHCP server for the PSP, so it should automatically assign itself an IP address via the WiFi connection. The laptop's WiFi IP address should become 192.168.0.1 (I think) & Woosh assigns their adapter's address. At this point the laptop will be acting as a router for the PSP (in theory :)). | MushHead (10626) | ||

As MushHead has suggested, try checking out the configurations and properties that are associated with the wireless adaptor under "Network Connections" in Control Panel. Make sure that "Internet Connection Sharing" is enabled for the laptop. If need to, you can try temporarily disable the firewall on your laptop to see if your PSP manages to go online. Cheers :) |
