| 528792 | 2007-02-28 00:28:00 | Hi all, New here. Maybe you can help me. My sonic reel dvd le 3.1 program (a DVD authoring program) was working great until yesterday. I haven't updated anything or put any new programs on the computer. The problem is, when I go to actually burn the dvd, I get this error: error MuxfromDB:MuxVST failed error multiplex failed error DVD video files could not be created. and I cannot go any further with the burn. Now I've read in some other forums about going into the drive's properties (F drive) and clicking properties, and clicking: enable cd recording on this drive. This does not work. The thing is, the burner (TDK DVDRW0404N USB device) plays any DVDs, and cd's I put in em just fine. Also, when I put a blank DVD into the burner, the drive icon goes from a DVD drive icon to a CD drive icon, which is stupid, cause it's a DVD I put in. I have disabled and re-enabled the drive a few times, and have the most up to date drivers for this burner. What gives? Anyone? B-- |

What version of Windows are you using? My dad had exactly the same thing happen when trying to burn a DVD on an external drive - put the blank DVD in and the icon changed to CD and it kept telling him the disk wouldn't hold all the data. We didn't come up with a solution for him (he needed it urgently, so took the drive and housing back and bought a different device, so didn't have much time to sort it). Mike. |

This burner was working just fine (about a year.) until last week. Also, the burner works on my other computer without a snag, but I need it for my other one, cause that is where my data is..... no help yet.:yuck: | ben3man (11933) | ||
| 528795 | 2007-03-01 09:17:00 | What brand of media are you using? Have you changed to a different brand at all? Check the burn speed, and slow it down, USB2 still ain't the quickest so don't try burn at 16X on a external drive. |
