529145	2007-03-02 00:56:00	Sounds like the 40 GB here . I restored it but have to wait for someone to bring the adapter back so I can plug it into power . After a while, it drained the battery completely (most probably the 1st time in like 3 yrs it has been fully drained) . Then the battery icon came up, saying it was fully dead . I had to connect it to a USB port to recharge it (altho I still cant use it) until I reconnect it to the power .	Speedy Gonzales (78)

529147	2007-03-02 01:09:00	Nah thats normal if u restore it, u have to plug it into the power (only for the earlier ipods I think), then its back to normal. I use the Ipods for adding contacts/appts/notes/videos more than MP3's. I'm not too worried about adding MP3's. Nah most of the others arent big enough.	Speedy Gonzales (78)
529148	2007-03-02 01:17:00	No sign of damage (it's been wearing one of those silicone condom-like covers) . Unit was left plugged into the PC via USB last night while my daughter got ready for bed (well in excess of half an hour, as anyone with a teenage daughter will empathise with :lol: ) I'll see what the manual says tonight when I get home . . .	johcar (6283)
529149	2007-03-02 02:57:00	I remember my brothers old ipod stopped working once. I think he got the sad face just before it died forever. It was a 2gb Mini I think...stuck it on TradeMe $1 reserve and got $50 for it Worst case scenario: You can't get it going, Harveys wont replace/fix/give a **** - stick it on TradeMe and you'll prolly be surprised with how much you can get for it. Other than that I'm not sure how to fix it, I've still got one of the old 512mb Shuffles.	--Wolf-- (128)

Hey WolfForest 22 Stop being so negative --- I have no doubt that Harvey Norman will replace if necessary. I had an extended warranty and mine gave out in thirteen months. When I took it back they were so very helpful and I had a brand new one in lesss than a week. They did say max of three weeks but like most firms now they say the longest possible period and then you are delighted if it takes less. The model I had needed to be sent to Aussie (by Harvey Norman at Link Drive, North Shore) but still took less than a week. Misty :)	Misty (368)
