| 529613 | 2007-03-03 03:39:00 | Or should I say lack of.... I have adsl direct line with a Dlink DSL G604T router. Works fine with wireless in house, little dlink usb bizzos. Son however has a sleep out. I added a 2.4ghz Diploe antenna on router inside, and a larger antenna on a receiving TP link 108M PCI. The sleepout is prolly 30 metres away, down an incline, past a zillion appliances, microwave ovens, SKY receivers paved stairs etc. All I get is a very low register not enough to open google. Any ideas quick and easy before Dick Smith closes ! | kulkkulbelle (11948) | ||

You could also try the usb dongle on the desktop in the sleepout using an extension usb cable, then you can try and find the "sweet spot". Actually awhile back DSE had a 500Mw booster cheap but I not sure about increasing the signal strength too much for health reasons. |
