| 529611 | 2007-03-03 02:14:00 | I recently shifted a computer to another room for family use and find that neither the keyboard nor mouse will function. The pins on the plug are not bent and the plugs are in the correct sockets. The computer boots up okay. I tried another (new) keyboard and mouse on the computer with the same result, they don't work either - I then reconnected them to this machine and they function normally. I have never encountered this problem before and wonder if anyone has any ideas? |

Get into the BIOS setup, and look for the settings for "HID". That's "Human Interface Devices" : mouse and keyboard. There might be a "Legacy HID" setting which should be enabled. |
