| 529774 | 2007-03-04 01:56:00 | I note that in our new laptop the Help section says To check the spelling in messages Outlook Express uses the spelling checker provided with the following Microsoft Office programs: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint. If you do not have one of these programs installed, the Spelling command is not available. We haven't got any of these and only have Microsoft WORKS. Is there any way to utilize the spelling checker in Works. Jim |

| 529776 | 2007-03-04 03:09:00 | Or FreeSpell 4.2 (www.majorgeeks.com) Haven't used it myself as I use Thunderbird and Open Office (http://www.openoffice.org/) with NZ and Maori spelling extensions. As FreeSpell is based on Aspell, it may be possible to use the same custom dictionaries as Open Office, Thunderbird, etc. BTW, follow the Open Office link (http://www.openoffice.org/) if you like the idea of a free office suite of programmes that blows MS Works out of the water. |

You could install works v4.5, it did work for me with win98 and IE6 or type and spell check your e mail in works then cut and paste it to your e mail. |
