| 530206 | 2007-03-09 09:01:00 | Thought I asked this question a few months ago, but I can't find it in a PF1 search, and the client is still adamant that the site is not working properly... He claims that it's intermittently, but frequently unavailable and also that a couple of people he's asked also cannot access it. Today as usual it's working fine for me, and despite the given fact that temporary glitches do occur, his inability to access it so frequently is risking me losing his business. Please can you check www.amor.co.nz (http://www.amor.co.nz/) and just say: *Yes or no *ISP *Dialup, ADSL, Cable, Satellite, Other wireless Would really appreciate this as I think I'll have to point the customer to this thread to assure him. Thanks! I would agree with your client that it is not working properly, as it still doesn't load for me, using slingshot callplus. Who are you hosting it with, or is it on one of these low cost US based web hosts. Tell you client to move his hosting to a NZ based server, as they are far more reliable and these types of problems are far less rare. It may cost them more to host, but business websites should be prepared to pay for the added reliabilty. |

If it works for everybody apart from you then the issue is with you. End of story. |

| 530209 | 2007-03-09 11:22:00 | Who are you hosting it with, or is it on one of these low cost US based web hosts. Tell you client to move his hosting to a NZ based serverDon't be ridiculous. NZ servers are way too costly to host on when there are perfectly adequate overseas servers. And why would I recommend him to change when he's in fact hosting it on my server that I rent in Aus? Kinda a dumb way for me to do business don't you reckon? Anyway, it's quite clear that the majority of people can access the site no problems, so the problems exist with the people who can't access it, not with my hosting. So the questions have been answered. Thank you. |

Thats not interlay true, (yes there are a few web hosts out there who change way too much for NZ hosting & there are other who are way too cheep ( who servers are in the US any how), but they are some out there who offer a good price for NZ hosting. |
