530998 2007-03-07 08:26:00 You may need codecs, or a program that can play dvd's which will install the codecs. Speedy Gonzales (78)
530999 2007-03-07 19:51:00 Doesn't hurt to have a couple of alternatives on hand -

k-lite (www.free-codecs.com) and VLC (www.videolan.org) are pretty good.

531000 2007-03-07 20:53:00 VLC is good interms that it can play almost any filetype (media) and it doent need the codecs most of the time BUT as a media play to replace WMP no way, it is not up to it, no media library etc... The_End_Of_Reality (334)
531001 2007-03-07 21:37:00 I use Winamp myself. Free version does about everything. If you look in the media library under Online Services Shoutcast radio has around 10,000 stations which are easy to search or select by genre, etc.

Right below it is Shoutcast TV, and if you get lucky you can find a channel you wanna watch that isn't full.

You can watch DVD's with Winamp, and there's also a Windows dvd player in Windows most people don't know about--just file search on your system for dvd or dvdplay.
