531441 2007-03-09 05:04:00 Why not just get yourself a new bigger hard drive? It's not good to fill them right to the brim with programs and data. Remember too that they need 15% free space for defragging. FoxyMX (5)
531442 2007-03-09 05:45:00 1/Open windows explorer, go to tools/folder options/view & under hidden files & folders - check 'show hidden files & folders'.

2/then do a search for " *.tmp,*.dmp,*.chk " files (including in hidden files & folders option) and delete all found not in current use.

531444 2007-03-09 06:32:00 Try running ccleaner:

Get CCleaner v1.38.485 - Slim

www.ccleaner.com

Also get this free version of Spacemonger but be careful how you use it, you can trash your system easily, you can delete with a right click from within Spacemonger:

531445 2007-03-09 08:24:00 Do a search for Dr Watson. Its buried deep in Documents & Settings If you have ever had a crash or BSOD. windows saves details to send to Microsoft. These files can grow to several Gigabytes, This service can be disabled in Windows Services under the title of -Error Reporting Service- Disable this first then delete the entire Dr Watson folder. Unless you want to send all your computer problems to Microsoft this a useless bit of wasted space. I deleted mine 2 years ago when I found it had grown to 1.4Gb Ian i-gordon (962)
