| 531419 | 2007-03-09 07:34:00 | Press CTRL+ALT+Backspace - that should do the trick. Nope... still not working. I think i just might have to reinstall linux or use a mouse each for the 2 machines.. |

| 531422 | 2007-03-09 10:38:00 | Interesting - is there a reason you are only using 16 bit colour? 24bit (also known as 32bit colour by Win) looks a lot better. | Erayd (23) | ||

| 531426 | 2007-03-13 02:56:00 | After i couldnt make the ps2 mouse work..I just reinstalled linux (FC6) and after the installation the mouse was working fine. But after the 245 updates that i did and when i rebooted the machine the mouse stopped working again..:annoyed: so m guessing its the updates that stuffed up the mouse in the first place and now again ..:confused: | ronyville (10611) | ||
| 531427 | 2007-03-13 08:27:00 | Bizzare. I had a wee search of the Fedora forum and found this - PS/2 mouse workaround for 2.6.19 kernels (forums.fedoraforum.org). From those comments, it looks like it is associated with a specific kernel in combination with your particular BIOS. That looks like a newer kernel so you must of picked it up in your updates. I don't bother much with updates unless I have a specific problem or wish to update a program so I am still on kernel 2.6.18-1.2849. I do get the security update emails so I update anything critical mentioned in those. |
