531324 2007-03-09 00:19:00 same hard drive
I only took it out to test as a slave on another computer

---------------
Tried two other hard drives.

531325 2007-03-09 00:27:00 If its the only hdd in the case, is it on the primary IDE connection, and did u jumper it back as master?

Are u sure u connected the IDE cable properly?? And the right way round?

When u tested it on another PC could u see what was on it?

And is / was it the same IDE cable you used when u tested it on the other PC?

What else is in the case (besides this 1 hdd)?? Any cd's/dvd's?? (If there are, are they on the secondary IDE connection)?

531327 2007-03-09 01:06:00 Ah according to this (bioscentral.com)

That A20 gate error could mean this

4-2-3 Gate A20 failure The keyboard controller has failed. Replace the IC if possible

Have u got a USB keyboard handy?? And USB ports on this PC??

I would plug one in if u can and see what happens.

Do any of the numbers on the above site, sound like the beep/s you're hearing?

Change / replace the CMOS battery, see if it makes a diff. It maybe flat.

531329 2007-03-09 01:35:00 I would replace the motherboard, its most probably something on it thats making the system hang. Like a faulty chip or capacitor.

Whats the brand/model of the mobo / CPU in it?? Do you know?
