531116 2007-03-08 01:22:00 Hi,

I am trying to remove my outgoing mail server account from Thunderbird, but the option to do this is greyed out. Any ideas as to why? I have been having trouble sending emails with this account, but have no troubles sending them.

Thanks,
Stephen

531117 2007-03-08 08:29:00 Probably because that would leave you with no outgoing server.
Try editing it instead.

531118 2007-03-08 09:09:00 The default outgoing server can't be deleted. Tbird is trying to protect your interests - stop you sawing off the branch that you're sitting on!
You can add another (e.g. smtp.gmail.com) and make that the default so that you can delete the first one. Of course it won't work if you don't have rights to any other server.:)
