531778 2007-03-11 01:24:00 Hello, i have been having some seriouse trouble with my PC lately. It started with a message popping up telling me i have "spyware" by clicking okay it sends me to the neospace web sight. ( www.neospace.com ). While attempting to remove this, a new message popped up saying

Windows - No Disk

There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive \Device\Harddisk4\DR6

no matter what i press ( Cancel , Try Again, Continue ) it pops right back up in the middle of my screen.
also after restarting my computer, a box with the heading

C:\WINDOWS\system32\cmd.exe

pops up and lists:
The system cannot find the path specified.
The system cannot find the file specified.
The system cannot find the path specified.
The system cannot find the file specified.

please offer any suggestions you have to fix the problem.
Thank you. :)

531779 2007-03-11 01:27:00 Get one or all of the programs in my sig below and do a scan.

Get trojan remover it might pick something up, install it click on scan then select the 3rd to 7th option under utils. If it doesnt work do it in safe mode.

531782 2007-03-11 02:02:00 Ok, unzip hijackthis and put it in its own folder before u run it. Close browser/s. I would also get trojan remover.

Then click on scan and save a log again. Then tick these entries.

C:\WINDOWS\system32\wincrt.exe - delete this file in safe mode after.

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045} - (no file)

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ShowWnd] ShowWnd.exe - this looks like a trojan - After u tick this boot into safe mode and delete this file

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [RemoteControl] "C:\Program Files\CyberLink\PowerDVD\PDVDServ.exe"

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Alcmtr] ALCMTR.EXE

531783 2007-03-11 04:13:00 Hello, i have been having some seriouse trouble with my PC lately. It started with a message popping up telling me i have "spyware" by clicking okay it sends me to the neospace web sight.

No doubt you have already figured that it was a bad thing to click on that pop-up message box by now but for the benefit of others who might be reading this thread never, NEVER click on pop-up boxes saying that your PC is infected. As you can see from this example you just invite trouble onto your computer by doing so.

ChiliMagik: As it appears that you are currently using Internet Explorer as your browser it is strongly recommended that you immediately change to either Opera (www.opera.com) or Firefox (www.mozilla.com). Popups will then be a thing of the past and your internet browsing will become a lot more secure.
