2007-03-12 04:32:00 | I was using my computer when I wanted to put a CD in the CD/DVD drive, but it wouldn't eject. I restarted, no difference, I shut down and pulled the plug out for more than 10 seconds, NO DIFFERENCE! What has gone wrong? :badpc: :help: | pcuser42 (130) | |
2007-03-12 04:39:00 | Made sure the power is plugged in at the back? Tried using a paperclip to open the bay? Could just be the drive is dead.

2007-03-12 04:59:00 | It worked perfectly until today. The paperclip won't do anything. | pcuser42 (130) | |
2007-03-12 05:15:00 | Some cd doors on the drives get jammed, try lightly tapping the drive or your case to free the door. | radium (8645) | |

2007-03-13 02:24:00 | It's a Dell. Hit it firmly just near the left edge of the CD drive with the back of an axe. This is quite safe, as even a cheap axe cannot be harmed by a Dell. If that doesn't work, I have an unwanted Dell (Well, quite a lot of one) that could be used for bits. I was going to use it for an ugly flower pot. | R2x1 (4628) | |
2007-03-13 03:07:00 | Open 'er up. If its not jammed.. well you just voided your warranty. If its jammed, well it will start working, but still no warranty left. | Dannz (1668) | |
