531984 2007-03-12 08:00:00 Unless the sensor can be trusted biometrics are pretty much ineffective. It's pretty hard to securely transmit a fingerprint, which includes a substantial amount of error. Most fingerprint readers can be tricked with cheap off the shelf equipment. TGoddard (7263)
531985 2007-03-12 08:24:00 I saw a friend of mine at school last year come to school with a Lenovo??? laptop with a built-in fingerprint scanner and he immediately had to enter a password and I was just amazed at why he was wasting his time even swiping his finger. Is it worth the extra money that the manufacturers charge. Just fancy lights and a bit of the initial wow-factor. beeswax34 (63)
