Friend down the road when she clicks on to a web page in an email connot get thru. even when she cuts & pastes.

She is on Outlook 2003 and runs xp thru xtra broadband. All she gets is this computer cannot load this (or words similar) see your administrator. She is the administator.

Before I go down have you any ideas? These sites work OK from here. I presume it must be a setting wrong somewhere. The site is her reg. confirmation for warehouse fashion site plus others.

Reset Web settings

1. Start Internet Explorer.
2. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
3. Click the Programs tab, and then click the Reset Web Settings button.
4. Under Internet programs, verify that the correct e-mail program is selected.
5. Click to select the Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is the default browser check box.
6. Click Apply, and then click OK.
Note You may receive the following message when Internet Explorer starts:
Internet Explorer is not currently your default browser. Would you like to make it your default browser?
If you receive the message, click Yes.

Then do the following:

Click startbutton/run then type in the following one at a time and after each one clik enter...
regsvr32 urlmon.dll
Regsvr32 actxprxy.dll
Regsvr32 shdocvw.dll
regsvr32 Shdocvw.dll
regsvr32 Shell32.dll
regsvr32 Oleaut32.dll
regsvr32 Actxprxy.dll
regsvr32 Mshtml.dll

I see soooo many people ask questions on this site , you guys go to so much trouble to answer the question and you never here back even a word of thanks.:waughh:

It would be nice to know whether these guys problem was fixed or not???

It is just good manners, then again I am 63 and perhaps not many know good manners these days.:confused:
