I have recently downloaded Kubuntu and takes about 1 DVD. Burned successfully onto DVD and tried to install onto the system.
When I come to partition part it have serious problem, the problem is it takes ages to responce.
CPU: P4 with HT
Mem: DDR 1GB 200Mhz Kingston RAM 512, 256, 256.
Grap: Asus 9250 256MB
MOBO: Asus P4P800
Mon: Viewsonic 15" VE510b
DVD: Samsung DVD RW

What's the problem? Is the specs too low to run Kubuntu?

But I got it installed anyway and it took ages. The Live version was pretty cool. But I have problems installing appllications such as Adobe Reader. From tar.gz file. PedalSlammer (8511)
532606 2007-03-14 04:40:00 KPDF is much better than acrobat on Linux. You can install it by typing this on the command line and entering your password:

sudo apt-get install kpdf

Ubuntu comes with a graphical package manager for installing software. The selection there is massive - I strongly recommend enabling the extra repositories (which contain material which cannot be distributed in some areas) and using software from these whenever possible. As long as you stick to this all your programs will automatically be included in the system update manager.
