532429 2007-03-12 16:20:00 Hi, I was wondering if someone can help me . A couple weeks ago, after I my computer didn't recognize my dvd burner on my laptop . But I was able to find a solution to solve this and I did . I was able to burn about 3 dvds but after that, it just wouldn't burn anymore . I've tried burning different types of dvd, switching the softwares, and changing media, but still it wouldn't burn . The dvd can play dvd/cds fine, but it just won't burn . So I've tried burning in Nero and the transcoding goes perfectly fine, but when it reaches to burning the dvd, it would stop and the dvd would just come out . I've also tried burning at the slowest speed which is 2x but it still won't burn .

Apparently there's a few firmware updates out there to at least 1.50 which might assist, but not too sure.

532436 2007-03-13 07:24:00 A friend's attempt to set up a DVD drive resulted in her exceeding 4 region changes. The thing hung, sniffed, sulked and refused to play, burn or do much at all.
Happily, a reformat and fresh install had everything happily working, and her computer going much faster as well. (She HAD done back-ups !) 		R2x1 (4628)
