| 532348 | 2007-03-12 06:07:00 | I am looking to set up a network with a laptop using Vista and Wireless with a Desktop using Windows 2000 and ethernet connection through a d-link router/modem. Main interest is to share files. Share printers not needed. Can someone please give me a steer in the right direction - have set up other networks but not too familiar with vista as yet. |

Is the D-Link unit providing IP's through DCHP? Are you using encryption? Is the desktop able to see the router? A little more information about your network would help greatly. Kinda sad this post didnt get picked up earlier i hope the original poster comes back. I guess maybe theres not that many experience Vista users out there yet? Anyway good spotting Misty :) |
