533765 2007-04-03 06:29:00 In Thunderbird - go to:- Tools - Account settings - outgoing server and set this to your ISPs SMTP server.
In my case, it is smtp.xtra.co.nz port 25

Then, again in Tools - Account settings , click on the account and enter under the "Default Identity" your Hotmail address. Then when you send an e-mail, Thunderbird will send your Hotmail address as your return address and it will all go out via your ISPs mail server.
Your o/g mail will not appear in your Hotmail account but will be kept in the o/g Thunderbird folder.

All this is for your o/g mail only. You did say earlier that your i/c mail was OK.
