| 534252 | 2007-03-19 03:27:00 | As above Imac 233 with about 96Mbs of ram was originally running os 9.01?, i then installed OSX in what i thought would be dual boot mode (this is about a 8 months ago) I recently wanted to boot into OS9 but i can't and from everything i read it's impossible to do unless i upgrade the OS9 version to 9.2ish, but to upgrade i need to boot OS9, so my question is... Is there a way to upgrade OS9 without uninstalling OSX? |

| 534254 | 2007-03-19 08:26:00 | Yes as long as your running OS9 you should be able to get the 9.2.2 "upgrade" from Apple just do as Ripdog says and press the Option key on start up to give you the option of which system you want to start up. What are you running that requires OS9 anyway apart from an old iMac? | winmacguy (3367) | ||
| 534255 | 2007-03-19 08:27:00 | um OSX is a tad sluggish on this machine, it does work fine but OS9 was a bit snappier, although it appears I need at least os9.1 to be able to dual boot them got my .01 and .1s mixed up | Morgenmuffel (187) | ||
| 534256 | 2007-03-19 08:31:00 | I'm not surprised. If I was you and I could afford it I would search for a cheap 2nd hand Mac mini on Trade me and upgrade so that you have a newer faster machine that is less hassel considering that OS9 is about 7 years old now. What apps do you run on OS 9? | winmacguy (3367) | ||
