I am putting a new PSU in a case. I have not done that before. Anything in particular i should look out for? no mysterious 'spacers'?

534095 2007-03-18 13:26:00 make sure the PSU is able to supply all the power you will need for a while, is not too noisy, has the correct connectors for your set-up, and is NOT A HYENA!
Spacers are between the motherboard and case, they should be installed in a pattern appropriate to the motherboard especially the brass spacers or $$$parks will fly. You should not have to worry about this if it's just the PSU being swapped. If your case is a Dell, or some of the other "Name" brands, you may have to get the right shape power supply as well. (Hardly worth the bother in these cases.) It is easy with a little care, but watch out for sharp edges, Packard Bel are bad for this (And a few other things too.)
