| 535207 | 2007-03-23 07:14:00 | I've purchased a Laptop to IDE connector cos I wish to image a laptop drive. The power connector is the easy bit but is the connector between the laptop drive and the IDE cable polarity conscious? The adapter does have a 1 on one end and a 2 on the pin on the opposite side. Would this go to the marked edge on the IDE cable? Yeah it would have been nice if the supplier supplied an instruction leaflet. DSE be ashamed of yourselves... the staff were no help either but the price was right. :help: | EX-WESTY (221) | ||

Get the wrong combination and ta ta hard drive it would seem :-( . I thought pin one would be the marked edge, now to figure out which is pin one on the laptop HD so it's the right way around. | EX-WESTY (221) | ||
