534761	2007-03-21 04:21:00	I have two columns, one of dates and one of associated balances. I want to extract the balances (and their dates) associated with the first date (not necessarily 01) in each month for charting purposes. Anyone got an idea? Thanks	bpt2 (6653)
534762	2007-03-21 05:36:00	Hi, not sure if I understand what you mean but if your wanting to select values based between dates then assuming A2 has the date and you want records between 22/3 and 24/3 then put this in a separate column and anything with True means it meets your criteria... =AND(A2>DATE(2007,3,21),A2<DATE(2007,3,25))	Parry (5696)
534763	2007-03-21 06:44:00	Haven't checked Parry's answer but think I understand the problem. It sounds like a list of bank balances or similar, with a row for each date. These dates would be bank processing dates, so will not have every day - if the 1st is a Sunday, the 1st entry for that month is the 2nd. The chart is to show the balance on the 1st row of every month.	wotz (335)
