535236 2007-03-23 11:56:00 I recently swapped out my old AGP card for a Geforce 6200 (it was cheap) but I'm now having major issues playing video files. Everything works as expected until I try and play a mpeg/divx/xvid file. Everything then goes into slow motion and the only option is to turn off.

The only way I can get video to play is to adjust the hardware acceleration to disable directx... which kind of makes the card pointless as so many things need directx. The card passes the directx diag tests.

My google search indicated that it may be an agp issue. I have updated to the latest nvidia driver and the latest chipset driver from Intel. I've installed the latest directx driver. Now I'm stuck... what else can I try?

Help!

535237 2007-03-23 12:13:00 I don't know if this helps, but it's worth a try....

Go to start-run-type in dxdiag and enter. A new window will appear, and under that, click on Display. Under DirectX features, make sure that DirectDraw, Direct3D and AGP Texture Acceleration are all enabled.

535238 2007-03-23 13:08:00 Can you try this card in another computer to see if it will do the same there? radium (8645)
