1412771	2015-12-14 02:02:00	Hi, I've installed office 2013 on my laptop and I noticed in order for me to use it, I needed to input an email address and password; not just for Word, but also for the likes of Excel, PowerPoint and other office apps. Is there a way of getting around without having people to input their email address just to use ANY office 2013 application? This is my first time I have installed 2013, at home, but now realize at uni there was one already assigned (as I didn't notice that till now, as Office 2013 never asked for one each time I logged on). Seems a pain in the arse if you don't mind me saying so. Call me a little paranoid, but I find it rather an uncomfortable experience; regardless what Microsoft say about privacy. Cheers Hello Mr Juice... if thats your real name. Sounds strange. Its not office365 is it? Or some dodgy download ? Office 2013 Retail doesnt need email/pass at all . Is this some academic version , or a University copy ? What did you install it from, a CD, a uni web link ? Was it bought from Noel Lemming or some other store ?	1101 (13337)

Yep, if its office 2013 click on the wording "Enter a product key instead " and enter your product key you have when purchased, it will be on a card about the size of a credit card. 6859	wainuitech (129)

I think it is ridiculous that I have to sign in just to use Word or any other office app. Yet when I had to open up excel, I have to do it again. See example below: 6860 I do have an email account which I use (hotmail) and there is no problem with it whatsoever, meaning that I can use Word, Excel, etc... as normal without any problems. I just don't understand the reasons behind why you have to sign in to use office 2013 programs? Is there a genuine reason why Microsoft wants their users signing in or is this the way of the future? I know you can do it with Windows 10, without user requiring to enter their email address to log in to their user account, but is there a way you can do this for the same reasons above but this time with Office 2013? cheers	undiejuice (16495)

1412778	2015-12-14 09:08:00	Its a trial. Then you'll still need a key. You can get one from www.microsoft.com Sign in with your Hotmail account, register - fill out all the BS and you'll get a key along with the actual download. In the details you don't have to fill it all out, just county name and anything in the drop down boxes etc. May pay to get the actual legit trial you can download as well, as it gives the option to install Via a Key. The trial should be Office Pro Plus 2013. If you got a Office 365 Trial that's different to Office 2013 trial.	wainuitech (129)
1412779	2015-12-14 20:55:00	I'm still unsure why I need a key when office has already been installed successfully! The issue is not about the product key at all or any installation for that matter! The key issue is , why at the top right corner, people have to use an email address to use word, excel and is there a policy where people don't need to do this? Was a bit of a work for me, because Office wouldn't allow my Gmail account I use, so created a random Hotmail address which I dont want in the frst place. Having said that, for Mum, my bros all need to have a Hotmail address just to use Office 2013? I think this is stupid! 686168626863	undiejuice (16495)
