1406403 2015-08-12 07:42:00 Anyone watch that?
I watched it, then went online and watched the rest.

Not bad actually.

One thing though - media versus print.
Print would have stopped at "What is the point, they will have all the jobs", and made an excellent story from that.

But media has to do the oh noes they're alive.

1406406 2015-08-13 07:02:00 I think it will happen, but not in my time.

We will all miss the future adventures alas.

In all matters our opinions are made from the knowledge of others.

Listening to those that study this to the Nth degree, I must conclude it might happen, but has Terr says, we won't see it.

.

More robots: they are here now.
They are building our cars , milking our cows ,vacuuming our floors :-)

Sure, robots (ie automated machines) are taking our jobs, but thats been happening since the first weaving machines came online hundreds of years ago (also putting thousands out of work)

No one can really predict what tech will be 50 years into the future. Who would have predicted a
computor that we can put in a watch, or a phone that we watch movies on
Some technology has actually gone backwards : we now longer have supersonic airlines or capability to put men on the moon (or even past low earth orbit)
Now wheres my flying car & moonbases we were supposed to have by now

1406411 2015-08-13 23:41:00 Sure, robots (ie automated machines) are taking our jobs,

and I thought we blamed the immigrants for that

1406412 2015-08-13 23:41:00 I'm not sure what you guys are actually talking about, but when I think about the changes and progress that have occurred in my short 76 years, I wonder at what our grandchildren and great-grandchildren will experience. Our own generation has seen changes and inventions that our parents could not even imagine. I can only hope future developments will be peaceful and useful to humanity. Maybe we will be able to watch from wherever we are. Richard (739)
