1405306 2015-08-06 00:49:00 I'd recommend deleting your Facebook account, don't use Google search and smash your Android phone too as that is tracking your every move

Don't belong to Faecesbook and only use mobile couple times a month and are not concerned about being spied on

Lefties would be concerned though, they don't like being spied on but they won't be going to Windows 10 as John Key will be watching

1405308 2015-08-06 02:26:00 W I just see windows as a means to get on the internet.

Even visited event viewer - amin events - but it logged over 350 errors

Why not just go Linux then?

Most errors are services not started or such anyway, unless you are having problems with the PC, then ignore it.

1405309 2015-08-06 08:41:00 Image copy. Tried the built in Imaging in W8.1 & also Paragon. Couldn't get either of them to work. Surprise surprise. I did get a full backup of files & folders tho"

So is there a free easy Image backup program out there? PJ

Macruim Reflect
Western Digitals free software (its Acronis)

The imaging tool is Win in buried away under submenus, but does work quite well.
Where you might get issues is restoring some laptops non standard partitioning & non standard bootloaders

What issues are you having ?

1405311 2015-08-06 23:15:00 I have now installed W10 and trying to find my way around. While it seems to have carried over all my installed programs, I seem to have lost all my internet website shortcuts. Are these hidden away somewhere, or will I have to reinstall them all again? Richard (739)

Never in all my 76 years have I felt so stupid & unable to follow and understand instructions. I have tried paragon WD Acronis & the inbuilt imager. The drive I am trying to image to is a WD1TB I get so far & then I get stuck, don't see what to do. I know that it is not the programs just an old tired brain. PJ

Hi Nathan. I was using W8.1 and had all my shortcuts on the Start screen. I had swags of them, from my bank to, well, all websites I used to log on to. I would right-click a site, pin to start-screen, and then sort into categories. I am still trying to find how to save something to a tile in W10.
