| 1413178 | 2015-12-29 09:44:00 | You need a USB flash drive not a hdd. And if there's anything on it that you need, copy it to the hdd. Because rufus will format it Oh my bad, sorry. Well that didn't work. I set partition scheme to "MBR partition scheme for BIOS and UEFI", File system "FAT32", created bootable disk using iso image (attached download from last night). Came up with error "Error: ISO image extraction failure". Also tried setting partition scheme to "GPT partition scheme for UEFI". Happened for both. I'm so so sorry guys! Should I just take it in to the shop since it's still under warranty? |

| 1413179 | 2015-12-29 10:56:00 | Format the flash drive in this pc in fat32. See if it formats. If it does run Rufus again select the flash drive select fat32 and uefi not mbr see if it works. See if the iso u downloaded will mount. Highlight it right mouse / mount. Then see if you can open the files in it. If that works, go back to the main window in this pc right mouse / eject. Then try the above. Are you sure the iso had finished downloading? If you can come here earlier tomorrow I can check it out | Speedy Gonzales (78) | ||

Okay so I tried the above. The flash drive was already FAT32 but I formatted it again anyway. I could mount and open the files in the iso. Yep pretty sure it had finished downloading..! Still came up with the same error. |

All the USB's I used have been NTFS and no problems. Make sure the USB drive is large enough to take the full image. Use Rufus and set it to NTFS. Heres a quick video, showing the settings and the start of the creation, once its complete it will show. screencast.com If you are still having problems then its possible the ISO is corrupted. |

| 1413183 | 2015-12-30 07:54:00 | It worked this time. Just gave info on how to boot from flash drive | Speedy Gonzales (78) | ||
| 1413184 | 2015-12-30 11:29:00 | Wow, so just finished clean install following all the instructions given by Speedy. It seems a little bit better, doesn't take 5 minutes to right click anymore haha. But the disk still gets high and to 100% very easily though. Fluctuates a lot. I'll be around all day tomorrow otherwise will take it into the shop. |

| 1413185 | 2015-12-30 12:46:00 | Look at ensuring all the correct drivers are installed, especially disk controllers. Another thing to try if possible is to run it in safe mode and see if you are still experiencing high disk usage, if not, then one of your programs can be contributing to it. Also, is this a 32bit machine? Lots of references to 32bit programs, unless they aren't developing 64bit programs, but this could be normal. Cheers, KK |

| 1413186 | 2015-12-30 19:00:00 | It's 64 bit Kame. The ISO I downloaded was 64 bit. May have to try another hdd? See if that fixes the prob | Speedy Gonzales (78) | ||
