| 1412400 | 2015-12-06 00:53:00 | 6853 If you have msn as homepage - or if you visit the msn page, then Bing is on the top of the page and you CANNOT remove it. It is part of the page... (Picture above) If you type something to search for (vegetables for instance) in the address bar at the top, and press enter - what search engine brings the results for you - Google or Bing? If it's still Bing, let me know and I'll explain the next bit.... Cheers |

| 1412401 | 2015-12-07 01:09:00 | I'm back home in Taupo now, was only at my brother's in Taranaki for a short time, so didn't have much time to do anything much except install Ccleaner and Adwcleaner and run them. Adwcleaner got rid of quite a lot of spyware and Ccleaner removed over 5,000 junk and temp files. His computer now runs about half as slow as it was! I do suspect there is some malware on there too, and have given him explicit instructions on how to download and run Malwarebytes. Told him to get a decent AV too and he's going to get Eset Nod 32 when his Trend Micro is due to renewed. Cheers, and thanks for all your helpful suggestions |
