536369	2007-03-27 23:18:00	Another problem from another thread.... I did a system restore on my machine after a failed mouse driver update which went horribly wrong. The restore went fine, but now the Win XP Security Center does not seem to see my AVG or Zonealarm and warns me that I have neither Anti Virus or a Firewall turned on. I have reinstaled AVG and Zonealarm to see if that would fix the problem and they are both working fine but the problem still persists. Any ideas on how I could get Security Center to recognise AVG and Zonealarm again? Cheers. M.	Mantis (3703)
536370	2007-03-27 23:27:00	You could try this. I had a similar problem when, my system thought I had two firewalls running. It simply resets the security settings: 1. At the command line of windows XP "Start" ->"Run" enter the command "CMD.EXE" and press Enter. 2. At the new window (Command Prompt window), type "NET STOP WINMGMT /Y" and press Enter. Then type "exit" end press Enter again. 3. Then go at the folder C:\windows\system32\wbem and delete the folder "Repository". 4. Reboot windows. The folder will be recreated by the Security Center and will display the correct information.	lotse (11963)

536372	2007-03-28 04:40:00	Yeah I could just turn the reports off but I would rather try to fix them and try and have them working properly in future. 536374	2007-03-28 09:48:00	Lotse, is the method you described likely to mess up anything if it doesn't work? Hi I obviously can't guarentee it, but I took a risk and tried the fix on windows vista and it worked fine. As far as I can tell it you are simply switching off all the security via the command line, and then forcing windows to look for security features again by deleting the folder. If its any consolation, this fix was made by a moderator a well known firewall forum. (hosted by the firewall company itsself) with positive feed back from those who tried it there as well	lotse (11963)
