536155 2007-03-27 03:49:00 I have been left a screen which is to do with the syncronisation of the D-Link.

Under a heading "Home" it says "Wireless Settings". "These are the wireless settings for the AP (Access Point) Portion."

SSID D.Link
Channel 6
Security WEP (chosen)
Select Encryptation key Cipher 64 bits

It shows ten dots against the Encryptation key
(and four rows in total)

Do I enter ten numbers (and record of course) where the dots are please ?
Misty

If you do that, you'll get cut off from the wireless connection. When you go to re-connect you'll be presented with a little screen to enter in the WEP Key. You dont need to put in the .'s though. Easy as that?!

Not sure why the D-Link screen was open and was getting concerned to do something because I had downloaded a Microsoft update and was getting a message about every ten mins about whether to reboot or leave until later, with a countdown . Anyway I hit cancel on the D-Link screen . Later managed to catch up with the technician and he had already put in the ten digits and told me what they were . So all seems well .

Did not get the little screen but then he had probably gone through that process . I take it that little screen only presents once and not every time you logon . That is certainly not happening .

Sorry for delay responding but was not confident in how to explain the above clearly . Hope it makes sense ! Thanks Chill . :)
