536033 2007-03-26 10:58:00 Hey all,
Just installed Wine in Kubuntu 6.10 no sweat - I can run executables fine, but installing applications, it seems adamant on using my C:\ When I say ok, I cannot find the software anywhere in kubuntu - I think its going to my XP os, anyone got any helpful advice?

Thanks,

Cornot

536034 2007-03-27 10:01:00 You should have a hidden folder in your /home/<username> directory for the wine files. To show hidden files in KDE, open up your home folder and go to View > Show hidden files. Look for a folder called .wine (the . before the name indicates it is a hidden folder/file). Jen (38)
536035 2007-03-27 11:11:00 WINE emulates Windows drives by mapping them to folders on your file system. By default the "C" drive is in fact the folder .wine/drive_c/ under your home directory (.wine is a hidden directory). This will not affect your Windows installation (unless of course you change the drive letter mappings in the WINE configuration to point to where you mounted it). TGoddard (7263)
