| 536033 | 2007-03-26 10:58:00 | Hey all, Just installed Wine in Kubuntu 6.10 no sweat - I can run executables fine, but installing applications, it seems adamant on using my C:\ When I say ok, I cannot find the software anywhere in kubuntu - I think its going to my XP os, anyone got any helpful advice? Thanks, Cornot |

To show hidden files in KDE, open up your home folder and go to View > Show hidden files. Look for a folder called .wine (the . before the name indicates it is a hidden folder/file). | Jen (38) | ||
| 536035 | 2007-03-27 11:11:00 | WINE emulates Windows drives by mapping them to folders on your file system. By default the "C" drive is in fact the folder .wine/drive_c/ under your home directory (.wine is a hidden directory). This will not affect your Windows installation (unless of course you change the drive letter mappings in the WINE configuration to point to where you mounted it). | TGoddard (7263) | ||
