| 536843 | 2007-03-29 19:33:00 | Left my PC on over night woke up with a warning saying that the PC had recovered from a critical error and had rebooted. Next time i rebooted the PC hanged on the windows XP logo screen and will not reboot even in safe mode, i had to reboot from CD and go to the repair console to run CHKDSK which reported 1 or more errors so ran the CHKDSK /R to repair it. I was really chuffed with myself and though i has solved the problem and the pc worked fine:D untill i rebooted again and discovered the same problem and had to go through the same process again and have to each time. I have also run antivirus to clean everything. Im left thinking that the harddisk has a/some bad sectors and is kput or maybe a format will help anyone shed some light please. |
