That aside, The internet has moved on from Dialup, Even sites like Pressf1 are difficult to use unless the connection is performing well, Many other sites are impossible to use. And what would you save?,5 or 10 bucks a month? Personally If I couldn't have ADSL at a minimum I wouldn't even bother, Even emailing a couple of photo's is a sad joke on dialup. |

You did not get much right Metla. There is nothing wrong with a good dialup connection for the person who only wants to do web browsing and email. The saving is probably more like $20 per month A couple of good photo's may only be 600kb and is no problem. I can load Press F1 on dialup just as fast as a broadband connection as confirmed by observation. The speed that web sites load are not always improved by the speed of the connection, many other factors play a part. |
