I've just installed Vista RC1 for the second time (NOT as my primary OS) and have two Windows Vista choices on the OS boot screen, one of which is not valid (from the last time I installed Vista :p ). How do I delete this? |

You need to edit the boot.ini file, which will be hidden and read only |

It's not read only. In XP at least. |

As far as I know Vista doesn't use a boot.ini file. Try downloading VistabootPro. Find it using Google and run it. you will be able to remove the false entry from there.

Use EasyBCD (neosmart.net) to edit the MBR (master boot record) of Vista. |

EasyBCD works a treat, though I haven't tried VistaBootPro. Thanks! |

Vistabootpro works a treat too but if you are happy with EasyBCD, stay with it. |
